Globacom, is poised to create excitement for Nigerians during this year’s Valentine season and afterwards as it launched a new promo that will make subscribers win N5 million grand prize as well as consolation prizes running into several millions of naira and a golden opportunity to sing with their favourite Glo Ambassadors in a recording contract.
The promo is tagged Say it Loud, Say it with Love, and is a mega Interactive Voice Response (IVR) contest that allows subscribers to sing a song, recite a poem or tell a joke, all dedicated to their family and loved ones within 45 seconds.
Subscribers are required to dial a short code 54887 to record and upload their 45-second song, poem or a joke for N50 on the portal after which they will receive an SMS with their individual ID numbers (54888xxxxx).
For subscribers to vote for any participant in the contest, all they need to do is dial 54888, listen to the song, poem or joke and vote for their preference. The sum of N20 is charged per vote. Voters can also vote directly for their preferred participant by dialing the ID number generated for the participant. Lucky voters will be rewarded with prizes worth millions of naira.
Apart from the star prize of N5 million for the winning song, poem or joke, three winners will each take home N2.5m monthly, 14 winners will receive N1m each in prizes weekly and there will be 3,600 hourly prizes of N2,500 in airtime and 200 daily prizes of N25,000 in cash in the promo which commenced on 23 January.
Also, ten subscribers will sign a contract to have their songs as Caller Ring Back Tunes and singers of the top three songs will have the opportunity to record a remix of their entries with a Glo Ambassador, thereby making the contestants rich and famous.
The winners of the Say it Loud Promo will enjoy the rare privilege of recording a duet with some of Globacom’s ambassadors.
