Zee World Debuts On DStv, GOtv

India-based content giant Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is set to debut in Nigeria with its new channe known as ZEE WORLD.

The channel is launching on GOtv Plus and DStv on 3 February and will offer a range of scintillating shows, which will grow in variety by the end of 2015.

Dr Subhash Chandra, ZEEL Chairman, in a message stated: “We want you to become a part of our growing family. Our aim is to bring authentic and entertaining content to the world stage. And that’s not an exaggeration – ZEEL’s 33 channels reach more than 730 million viewers across 169 countries. Zee World’s content is for everyone.”

Same sentiment was echoed by John Ugbe, Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria.

“We want to keep giving our customers more entertainment choices. Zee World is a great general entertainment channel filled with shows from India, which will appeal not only to our Indian customers but our broader DStv customer base.”

The channel will offer nail-biting reality TV, bittersweet Bollywood dramas and kiddies shows.

Kicking off the Zee World launch will be four award-winning series: Saloni, Laali, Married Again, The Promise as well as a myriad of blockbuster Bollywood movies.
