Jonathan has implemented people-oriented programmes, re-elect him - Bafarawa

Former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, on Wednesday, urged Nigerians to massively vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in the February 14 presidential election to ensure continuity in ongoing transformation of the country.

Bafarawa made the call while addressing PDP supporters at Gada town, headquarters of Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State at the party’s gubernatorial campaign.

He said the present administration at the federal level had succeeded in implementing people-oriented programmes that had been improving the lots of Nigerians.

The former governor cited the construction of roads, railway expansion, establishment of nine universities , power supply as projects that impacted positively on the lots of Nigerians.

He urged supporters of the party to ensure they cast their votes to all PDP candidates to ensure more democracy dividends.

The PDP gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto State, Sen.Abdallah Wali, promised to construct the Gada to Duka-Maje road to enhance even socio-economic and political growth of the area, if elected.

He said the road project was vital for the transportation of goods.

Wali explained that the road project would also enhance socialisation among the people of the area.

He promised to enhance agricultural production through the provision of farming inputs to farmers in the area.

Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, the Chairman of PDP in the state, urged party supporters to ensure they collected their Permanent Voter Cards.

He said the PVC remained the only option needed to ensure victory for the party candidates.
