Col. Sambo Dasuki, National Security Adviser: linked with rigging plot

National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Sambo Dasuki, has boasted that all the camps of Boko Haram insurgents within the country would be destroyed within six weeks.

He made this known in an interview with AFP on Monday

According to Dasuki, the ongoing multinational offensive against the insurgents would be productive.

Chad, Cameroon and Niger are currently collaborating with the Nigerian military to end the insurgency in north eastern Nigeria and parts of  the other three African countries involved in the counter-insurgency operations.

Dasuki had called for the postponement of Nigeria’s general elections by six weeks to enable the security forces take the battle to Boko Haram insurgents.

The Independent National Electoral Election, INEC, Attahiru Jega, had to succumb to Dasuki’s demand when the military also said it could noto provide security for INEC on February 14 and February 28 because soldiers would be engaged in military campaign against Boko Haram.
