Students and teachers of Model School at Unguwar Iya in Suleja, Niger State, western Nigeria, were thrown into confusion when an unidentified male was discovered inside the school premises wearing women veil popularly known as hijab, reports Daily Trust.
The man was said to have sneaked into the unfenced school premises through the backyard after the students had returned to their classes shortly after morning break.
Sources at the school informed City News that the suspect was noticed by a staff around the school’s library on Wednesday.
One of the sources said the suspect was immediately rounded up and handed over to the Principal of the school before he was moved to the police ‘A ’division in the town.
It was gathered that there was nothing incriminating found in his possession and that the suspect kept pleading with the school management over the incident.
When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer of the station, Francis Ekanem, a Chief Superintendent, declined comment on the incident and directed all enquiries to the state police command.
