Over 1,000 Students For Campus Heat Maiden Awards

At leas 1000 students across the federation will participate in the maiden edition of Campus Heat Awards, P.M.NEWS Campus Square can report.

According to information made available to our correspondent, the award is to give appropriate credit and empower students & youths across the federation who are hard working, enterprising, philanthropic and show other positive traits that prove they are indeed the true leaders of tomorrow.

Nominations for the event scheduled to hold in May, 2015 have also commenced as students from several universities in Nigeria and beyond, look forward to the real voting process.

The Coordinator of the event, Osuntuyi Olanisimi, who spoke with P.M.NEWS Campus Square, explained that “we have been running this online Campus Heat magazine for about six years now but this is the first time we are coming up with the awards and we hope to get sponsors real soon.

“The plaques will be presented to the students as rewards for the votes they get from their colleagues. We have two segments of awards; those for the freshers and those for the full school and 32 well-structured categories.

“Nominations for each of the categories will end on 30 March and the list of nominated students would be made public first week in April.”

On how to know if the students have nominated and voted the right set of people for the awards categories, Osuntuyi noted that the magazine’s team of experts on all campuses will be on ground to monitor the situation and give a feedback.

“We have experts on all campuses who can always assess the students’ votes and tell if they actually nominated and voted the right people,” he said.
