Embattled out of contract Coach Stephen Keshi has slammed Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, that he is not going to accept the job of returning as Super Eagles’ coach for cheap.

Keshi said on Brila FM early today that Nigeria wants him to work as Eagles’ coach, it would certainly not come cheap, because he has got a family to cater for.

With the rumours over contractual issues, the big boss has taken out time to clear the air, as he still insist that no one has contacted him from the NFF, concerning a new contract.

He further revealed that he never applied for Burkina Faso job, as that was wrongly reported. The World Cup coach said: “I have not seen any contract yet and no one has contacted me from the NFF for any contract talks.

“I also never applied for a job with Burkina Faso, there’s nowhere on record where I declared interest in the Bukinabe coaching job.

“I am a professional coach, so I can’t keep myself tied down to any particular team. I have been patriotic to the country for more than 17 years as a player and a coach, but I also have several mouths to feed, I have a family and I must look out for them.”

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, has asserted that the side’s head coach is not a birthright or preserve for former handler, Stephen Keshi. Chukwu said the NFF should be firm and prompt on the Eagles job and stop the hide and seek game with the former Nigerian strongman.

“NFF should stop using Keshi as excuse for their indecision on Super Eagles coaching job.

“It’s wrong for the NFF to be waiting on Burkina Faso to name a coach before deciding whether or not to hand Keshi a new contract.

“Super Eagles job is not an exclusive or permanent work place for Stephen Keshi or any other coach.

“I don’t think Keshi is really too heavy a burden for the football house to deal with rather they’re just trying to make something out of nothing.

“If truly they want Keshi they should go ahead and hand him a new contract and if they don’t want him they should forthwith tell Keshi we don’t want you.
