Nigerians Hold Freshers’ Nite In Benin Republic Varsities

P.M.NEWS Campus Square can authoritatively report that Nigerian students studying in universities in Benin Republic are set to hold a Freshers’ Night for the newly-admitted students.

Sources in the small west African country disclosed that all the major universities in the country would be involved in the all night party to usher them into the academic world.

“At least 2,000 students are expected at the event because it is the first of its kind for all Nigerian students in Benin Republic universities.

“The event is tagged All Freshers Night, AFN, billed to hold on Friday, 13 March at the La Roche, Club Concerto here in Cotonou,” Dare Akubiojo, Social Director of one of the universities informed.

Some of the institutions expected to feature in the one-day event are Hnaub, Irjib, EPS, Gaza, Hill City, Espam, among other leading institutions in Benin Republic.

The Nigerian students had only two weeks ago, disagreed over the Students Union Government, SUG election held in one of the universities in the country.

But they are now united in this cause and have vowed to light up the city of Cotonou to ensure that they enjoy themselves, especially after the completion of their examinations in a few days’ time.

Explaining further on modalities for the event, one of the organisers admitted that the ladies would be admitted free of charge while the guys will have to pay 1000cfa to participate in the event.

“This event has also been sanctioned by the authorities here and there are no security worries for the event because every institution has been asked to ensure maximum cooperation by their students.

“We have also the luxury of time for the event. We shall be starting the red carpet by 7pm but the real deal will commence by 9pm. We implore our colleagues from all over the country to ensure this maiden edition is a success,” he added.

Campus raves, Mc tush, Kekeno, Funky P, Jonero, Pastor Amebo, Kally P, female DJ Bella, Teddy bear, Drey Sax and Omo P will thrill the audience with music and comedy.
