2015: Osinbajo on two-day tour of Ogun

As part of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign, the running mate to Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will today and tomorrow visit Ogun state.

Osinbajo, who hails from Ikenne in Ikenne local government area of Ogun state has been moving round the country to have town hall meetings with various groups and bodies ahead of the presidential election slated for March 28.

The presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammed Buhari is currently in the United Kingdom and has also been meeting with various people including the former Prime Minister of UK, Mr. Tony Blair.

Buhari is billed to address Nigerians today at Chatham House, 10, St. James’s Square, London.

The programme was organised by the Hope Movement, a group of Nigerians from various professionals.

According to the itinerary made available to our correspondent in Abeokuta Thursday morning, Osinbajo will be leave Lagos and move straight to Sango Ota where he will meet with leaders, elders and supporters of the party including all the candidates from the Ota axis of Ogun West Senatorial District of the state.

Osinbajo will in the afternoon proceed to Ilaro, the political headquarters of Yewa to meet with the leadership of the party.

The meeting is slated for the popular Ilaro market square.

The statement further stated that the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos state, will go to Abeokuta at night to meet with some Christian leaders and pastors in the state.

On Friday, the Ikenne-born legal luminary turned politician will be visit more local government areas in the state.

He will be at Ago-Iwoye and Ijebu-Igbo in the Ijebu North local government area before heading to Ijebu Ode and later to Sagamu where he is billed to meet with the Akarigbo of Remoland and the Chairman of the Ogun State Traditional Council, HRH Michael Adeniyi Sonariwo and other monarchs.

Osinbajo will also meet with the All Progressives Congress leaders, elders and supporters before heading back to Lagos.
