Election in 20 polling units in Plateau State

Voting is ongoing on Sunday in 20 polling units scattered across nine local government areas of the central Nigerian State of Plateau, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC said.

INEC Deputy Director in charge of voters education and publicity in Plateau State, Osaretin Imahiyereobo, said election was holding in six polling units in Kanam, three in Bassa, five in Wase, and a polling unit in Kanke, Jos East, Jos North, Langtang South, Mangu and Riyom local government areas.

He said accreditation across the state was completed on Saturday even in areas where election did not take place.

Voting should be completed around 12 noon, he said.

Results would only be announced when election is completed across the state,” Imahiyereobo said.
