There was palpable fear Monday morning as students of the Ogun State School of Nursing, Ilaro in the Yewa South local government area of the state ran helter-skelter after receiving news of an impending bomb blast.

It was gathered that unknown persons had gone to write boldly in front of the school that all the students must leave the school premises as insurgents will be striking tonight in the school.

According to one of the students, who pleaded anonymity, most of the students, upon getting the information have left the town for their various homes.

It was gathered that the notice read,”Bomb in rampage. You should leave the school before 12:00 as we are going to throw bomb by then”

Most of the students who spoke with correspondent confirmed the incident but pleaded to our correspondent not to write their names in print.

One of the students, who simply identified herself as ‘Daz’, explained that the students did not want to take any risk following the threat by unknown persons, noting that, in every rumour, there is an iota of truth”.
