Ahead of the return leg All Africa Games (AAG) qualifier against Mali, Super Falcons winger Esther Sunday has boasted that their Malian counterparts will fall when they meet in the return leg of the AAG qualifier in Abuja on 10 April.

The Falcons returned to training on Tuesday, after being given a break to participate in Nigeria’s General Elections, and the Belarus based Esther, who also expressed joy at re-uniting with her team mates again, said she was surprised that Mali held Nigeria in the first leg but insisted that they would be beaten in the second leg.

“I am happy that my club gave me the opportunity to answer this national call to duty. I will give the game my best shot and link up with my mates to beat Mali. We are confident Mali will fall.

“Our focus is to go to World Cup and do well using the All Africa Games and Olympic qualifiers to prepare. We would re-assure Nigerians that we are Africa’s best by beating Mali in both qualifiers.

“After the game I will go back to my team because we have cup final coming up on 17 May. So I will go back to join my team before the World Cup proper,” she stated.
