Kaduna: SOKAPU youth tells members, electorate to vote El’Rufai

Southern Kaduna People’s Union, SOKAPU, National Youth Wing has called on its members and other electorate from southern Kaduna area to come out en masse during the forthcoming Saturday’s governorship election in the state and vote the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate, Malam Nasir El’Rufai.

The southern Kaduna based socio-cultural group, insisted that the People’s Democratic Party under the incumbent has failed the youth of area and that is the reason for call to support and vote the change train.

Addressing journalist after an emergency meeting held today at Narayi Development Area, Kaduna, the Chairman Political Committee of SOKAPU Youth Wing, Joshua Gimba said, the members of SOKAPU can not afford to elect leaders that can’t defend their interest.

While emphasizing the position of the aggrieved youth of southern Kaduna, Gimba said that the government had a hand in the systematic killings and attacks of youth, women and children of the area two years after Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero took over mantle of leadership in the state in 2012.

Gimba also noted that governor has no regards for traditional rulers who are custodians of the culture and tradition of Southern Kaduna People.

He however chargedd the youth and in the area and voters in the state to vote out PDP .

“We express the fear that if Yero is voted back into office he might continue to be a stooge of the Vice President, Namadi Sambo,” he stated.

He however called on all electorate in the area and across the state to remain calm and law abiding before, during and after the elections.
