Tambuwal promises to unlock solid mineral potentials of Sokoto

The APC gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri, says he will explore the solid mineral potentials of the state in order to enhance the state’s revenue generation capacity, if elected governor on April 11.

Tambuwal, who is also the Speaker of the House of Representatives, stated this while addressing the supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bodinga, Yabo and Shagari local government areas of the state on Wednesday.

He said that experts and competent companies would be engage in the solid mineral exploration projects, adding that feasibility studies had indicated that the state was endowed with untapped variety of solid minerals.

“We will engage experts in the field of mining to enable the state reposition its revenue generation for the common good of our people,” he said.

“You done a lot in voting our president-elect and already machinery that will ensure good governance has been put in place for implementation after the official inauguration (of the president-elect).”

Tambuwal urged APC supporters to cooperate with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure peaceful conduct of the gubernatorial and state assembly elections.

In his remarks, Governor Aliyu Wamakko expressed confidence in the ability of Tambuwal to guarantee goood governance in the state and assured that the APC led administration would initiate people-oriented programmes aimed at satisfying the yearnings and aspirations of Nthe igerians.
