Jilted Man Lands In Prison For Breach Of Public Peace

A 47-year-old jilted man, Olu Alloh, has landed in prison after he was arrested and charged to court for conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

He was charged before Isolo Magistrates’ court after he locked up the shop of his estranged lover, Charity Udoh, in Mushin and her food items in the shop were destroyed.

The incident happened at 59, Agege Motor Road, Mushin where Alloh reportedly opened a restaurant for her.

Ondo State-born Alloh had a relationship with Udoh for years and he promised to marry her.

P.M.NEWS gathered that Udoh, who is from Akwa Ibom State, met Alloh in Lagos and they became lovers and later agreed to marry.

Later, Udoh convinced Alloh to open a restaurant for her.

Alloh reportedly spent huge sums of money to rent a place which he furnished for Udoh.

After sometime, Udoh informed Alloh that the marriage arrangement will not work again because she no longer loved him. She thanked Alloh and asked him to look for another woman to marry.

This did not go down well with Alloh and he went to the restaurant, locked it and the food stuff bought by Udoh was destroyed.

He was arrested and handed over to the police at Mushin division who charged him to court.

Alloh pleaded not guilty and the presiding Magistrate, Mrs Yetunde Pinheinro, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 3 June, 2015.
