The Rivers State Liaison Officer for Abuja liaison office, John Enebeli has dismissed the allegations of looting of Government properties in Abuja liaison office as not only frivolous but tissues of lies being manufactured to tar and demonize him as a common criminal.

Enebeli said that contrary to the allegations of looting “This is the first time that a proper inventory and documentation of government properties in Abuja liaison office done and handed over by an exiting administration to the incoming one.

Enebili threatened to sue the top officers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who he alleged made away with properties of the state under his watch including exotic BMW cars.

The Liaison Officer who called in during a live programme on a radio station in Port Harcourt threatened that he may be compelled to seek redress in the court of law to clear his name.

The Liaison officer stated that he understands that this are trying times for some ambitious members of PDP who are positioning themselves for political appointments. He said smearing the integrity of imaginary opponents ups their ante and profile for getting such desired appointments from Governor Nyesom Wike.

Elsewhere, Mr Harry Halliday, immediate past Chief of Protocol to ex-Governor Chibuike Amaechi narrowly escaped death in hands of suspected assassins at his residence in Abuloma, Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Although the details of the incident remains sketchy, however, the state Police Command through its spokesman, Ahmad Muhammad confirmed the incident and said that two suspects had been apprehended over the botched assassination attempt.
