Tennis World Number One, Novak Djokovic has beaten Andy Murray to book a place in the French Open finals. He will meet on Sunday, former Australian Open Champion, Stan Wawrinka, who beat Roger Federer in the quarter-finals and went to break French hearts by beating home boy, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, in the semi-final.

In a match that stretched into the second day at Roland Garros, Djokovic finally overwhelmed Murray in the deciding 5th set, beating a strong challenge by the Scot, 6-1.

The two players had shared two sets each, with Djokovic winning the first two sets easily, only to be stunned by a resurgent Murray, in the third.

Scores were even at 3-3 in the fourth set Friday, when the game was suspended as a result of rain.

Murray looked set to replay his form on Friday, when he took the fourth set, on resumption today 7-5, but failed to tame Djokovic in the fifth set, succumbing to a 1-6 thrashing by the World Number One.

Final Score: Djokovic-Murray:6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 5-7, 6-1.
