Lives and property will be in great danger if security issue is left to the government alone, says the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti.

Aderanti said this while receiving four patrol vehicles donated to the command by MTN Telecommunication in Lagos on Monday.

The police chief attributed the success of security operations in the state to the government/private sector partnership.

Aderanti emphasized that security was a serious business that involves allocation of large funds.

The police chief commended the telco company for their gesture and urged others to emulate the company.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary, MTN Foundation, Ms Nnoyi Mgboma, said the donation was part of her organisation’s social responsibility activities.

NAN reports that the donated vehicles were fully equipped with modern security and communication gadgets.
