LAGOS, June 19 (Reuters) – Nigerian conglomerate Transcorp is on track to achieve power generation capacity of 850 megawatts this year, up from 610 megawatts last year, its CEO said on Friday.
Transcorp, which also has interest in hotels, oil and gas, was one of several firms to win bids to buy government power assets two years ago, sold as part of a privatisation meant to end decades of blackouts in Africa’s biggest economy.
