Former Nigerian internationals, Victor Ikpeba, Jonathan Akpoborie and other ex footballers have been lined up to face selected veterans in Lagos sports journalism in a friendly match to herald the 2015 of Sports Week of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Lagos chapter on Sunday, 26 July.

The friendly match is scheduled to hold at Legacy pitch of the National stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Other former internationals to feature in the match include Tajudeen Disu, Etim Esin, Aziengbe Iyoriobhe, Yisa Shofoluwe, Ipaye Wasiu, Raymond King, Simeon Bremner Alada, Micheal Dominic, Friday Ekpo, Tajudeen Ajide, Raymond King, Austin Popo, Clement Temele, Segun Oguns, Nicholas Ukadike and Peter Nieketen.

In the Lagos SWAN veteran team are broadcaster and CEO of Sports Radio 88.9 Brilla FM, Larry Izamoje, President of AIPS Africa, Mitchel Obi and Managing Director of Complete Communications, Mumini Alao

Players of the Lagos SWAN team who recently returned for pre-season training abroad are expected to converge at the SWAN Secretariat by 7a.m on Wednesday 22 July for the final training and selection for the match.

The week, which will feature football tournament, tug of war and a day seminar, is sponsored by a Nigeria’s leading sports betting company, Winners Golden Bet, 5ive Sports and OWU.
