Seasoned Nollywood actress, Sola Sobowale, popularly known as Toyin Tomato, recently showed her kindness through the donation of gift items to the Jazz 38 Club Members of Reagan Memorial Baptist School, Yaba, Lagos.

Sobowale made the donation during a fun filled event organised by students members of the Jazz 38 Club.

The actress, fondly called ‘Toyin Tomato’, said the gesture was borne out of her resolve to inculcate in the students moral values which seem to be fast fading out from the society.

“This event coincided with my philanthropic initiative visit in giving back to the society and as well as having a close contact with every girl-child where we can have an avenue to interact,” said Sobowale.

She advised the students on the need to take their academic work seriously and avoiding negative activiities that might hinder their academic progress.

Also speaking at the event, popular comedian Koffi Idowu urged the students to see education as key and valuable while they should imbibe the culture of seeking their heart’s desires with more effort towards unleashing the super-stars in them.

The event was spiced up by the students with several activities from music performances, drama, mock news, choreography, poem recitations and beauty pageant to mention but a few.

As part of its usual beauty pageant routine, participants from both the junior and senior secondary school contested for the Miss Jazz 38 Club with Miss Narriwoh Nicole emerging as the Senior Miss Jazz 38 and Miss Grace Imeke taking the Junior Miss Jazz 38 title.

High point of the event was the impromptu hot seat/on the spot interview with Sobowale and Koffi. The two responded to questions from the students/anchors about their careers, achievement and plans for the future in their chosen professions.

The event also had in attendance some of the members of the Splufik team amongst others.
