Wike sacks provost, appoints new SA

The governor of Rivers state, southern Nigeria, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has ordered the provost of the Rivers State College of Arts and Science, Dr. Hillary Wordu, to proceed on compulsory leave.
He is to handover to Dr. Samuel Kalagbor with immediate effect.
No reason was given for the removal of the Provost of the college which was recently upgraded to a degree awarding institution.
Governor Wike has also appointed Joe Akpa as the Senior Special Assistant on Protocol.
