Rukayat Gawat Emerges ISMAN Social Secretary

Alhaja Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso, one of the fast-rising Islamic singers in the music industry and daughter of missing Nigerian Television Authority popular TV personality, Alhaji Rasaq Aremu Gawat, has emerged the new Social Secretary of Islamic Musician Association of Nigeria, ISMAN, Lagos State chapter.
The charming singer was pronounced the state Social Secretary by the national electoral board of ISMAN at the just concluded election for Lagos State Chapter held on 30 July at Isolo area of Lagos.

During the election, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Abideen was re-elected as the Governor for another tenure while popular sonorous singer, Alhaja Aminat Babalola-Balogun widely known as ‘Omotayebi’ emerged the new ‘Amira’-leader of the women affairs – of the ISMAN.
Rukayat, married and blessed with kids, is a Mass-Communication graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
She took the music scene by storm with her hit single entitled ‘Ogbe-Okan, which featured Alhaji Abdul Kabir Bukola Alayande popularly known as ‘Ere Asalatu, Aminat Omotayebi and Ustaz Saheed Ife-Araye aka ‘Gbemisoke’. The singer focuses more on issues affecting women and preaches the ideals a good wife should embrace as well as the duties and roles of women in the Islamic world.
The easy-going singer has performed at several big Islamic functions and has some musical albums that include Imole, My father, Arinakore Aye Le, and Agboko L’Ori to her credit.
