Paster E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has urged members of the church to donate money for the completion of its 12 million capacity auditorium.
Adeboye made the plea after the church’s convention Holy Ghost Service on Saturday morning. He noted people were wondering why the church is still in the old auditorium instead of the new one.
He said the reason why the church is yet to move to the new auditorium was because it did not have enough money to complete it. He noted that many people have made pledges but are yet to fulfil it.
He went further to say: “for the first time in my life, I became fine bara (beggar) by telling people to give offering and donate to the auditorium online”.
He therefore urged the congregation to donate to the auditorium, even if it’s as little as 1000, so that the auditorium can be ready in December for the Congress.
Meanwhile, the number of children born during the ongoing Convention has risen to 81, with 41 boys and 40 girls.
Among d dignitaries at the Convention were d Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, CDS, Major General Gabriel Olonisakin, Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom and d Speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly.
