Container falls off Ojuelegba Bridge, crushes couple to death

A container being conveyed by a truck fell off Ojuelegba Bridge in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, crushing a couple who were the occupants of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to death.
The container also fell on another private car.
Although the cause of the accident could not be ascertained as at press time, P.M.NEWS gathered that the container was not latched to the truck.
According to various reports, the accident killed at least 3 persons.
The incident led to a chaotic traffic situation on Western Avenue on Wednesday, with a large crowd gathering to witness the horror.
Traffic officials later arrived the scene of the incident and took charge of the situation.
