Franco Baldini leaves Tottenham

Tottenham have parted company with technical director Franco Baldini by mutual consent.

The 54-year-old left Italian club Roma before he was appointed by Spurs in June 2013 to take charge of the club’s scouting and transfer policy.

“He leaves us now to spend time outside of club football,” said a Spurs statement. “We wish him all the best.”

Baldini was assistant manager to fellow Italian Fabio Capello during his time in charge of England.
