The late Commandant of Ikeja Police College, Police Commissioner Tunde Sobulo will be buried on Thursday in the United States of America where he died last week.
Sources close to the family told P.M.NEWS on Tuesday that Sobulo, who was gravely ill had requested that he be buried in U.S. if he died there. And family members said they would respect his wish rather than return his remains to Nigeria for burial.
The sources said some of the late tough cop’s family members are expected to travel to America for his interment.
According to report, he was undergoing treatment for tumours of the colon when he passed on.
He had undergone some surgeries in Nigeria and had recovered before it relapsed and he was flown to America where he died.
The late Sobulo, who, as a task force boss, was a thorn in the flesh of stubborn commercial motorcycle riders in Lagos during the administration of former Governor Babatunde Fashola, is survived by his pregnant young wife, Ameenat.
