A group, National Coalition of Ebira/Okun/Lokoja/Koton Youths for Good Governance, has promised to support the re-election bid of Gov. Idris. Wada of Kogi.

The group said at a news conference on Sunday in Lokoja that it decided to support Wada in the Nov. 21 governorship election after “due consultations”.

“The Coalition discovered that the people appreciated development in agricultural sector, women and youth empowerment programme, free health care for rural dwellers and will want all these sustained and improved upon,” Mr Dare Michael, the Coordinator of the group, told newsmen.

He noted that youths in the state had always been at the receiving end of the action and inaction of any government, saying there was need to protect the future of youths.

The group called on professional groups, labour unions, socio-cultural groups and artisans to vote for issues and programmes and not for narrow selfish interests.
