The Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) has restated its commitment to the regulation of the communication infrastructure space in the telecommunications, financial services and utilities sectors.

This assurance was made by the newly appointed General Manager of the agency, Babajide Odekunle.

Odekunle also stated that the era of impunity by service providers in the areas of adherence to using substandard materials in erecting communication infrastructure, undue delay in completion of approved works on major roads by utility Companies will no longer be tolerated.

The LASIMRA boss also gave an insight into the plans and programmes of the agency indicating that a session will hold before the end of the year to formally meet the stakeholders and that an enumeration exercise of all communications infrastructure will soon be undertaken by the agency.

As part of steps aimed at identifying with the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to make governance responsive, the agency has also give out two dedicated telephone lines; 09081154716 and 08162667719, for the public to reach out to the agency for enquiries, and report any attempt to lay cables on or under any road in the state.
