Guber election: Women leader rallies Kogi for Audu, Faleke

The National Women Leader of Coalition of APC Support Groups, Hajia Amina Idris, has called on the people of Kogi State to ensure that their votes send the incumbent Governor, Captain Idris Wada, out of office in November’s governorship election holding in Kogi State.

Hajia Idris, a strong stakeholder in All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, said that Governor Idris should prepare to vacate the Lord Lugard Kogi Government House as all hand writings on the wall have shown that he has overstayed his welcome in Kogi State.

The National Women Leader of the Coalition of APC Support Groups is an executive committee member of Kogi Youth Arise (KOYA 2015 for Audu/Faleke ticket), an independent socio-political organisation that is working hard to win the forthcoming gubernatorial election for APC in Kogi State.

Hajia Idris, a politician, educator and human rights activist described Governor Idris as an “unfortunate thing to have happened in Kogi,” adding that “by the grace of God come November, PDP government led by Idris will give way for the progressive minded people led by Audu Abubakar and Abiodun Faleke to take over the governance in Kogi State.”

According to Hajia Idris, who is the President of African Women for Human Dignity, “since PDP government came to power in the last 12 years, there has been bad governance in Kogi and the economy of the state has been crippled. The workers and the pensioners were being owed despite robust federal allocations that come to our state from the federation accounts. Life expectancy has reduced because our hospitals are not functioning.

“Education is most hit; there are security challenges, youth unemployment continue to rise without any solution in sight. The most unfortunate thing is that all facilities left by the government of Audu have been destroyed because of lack of vision from the PDP government.

“It is for all these reasons that we are mobilsing Southwest and North-Central Zones of the Coalition of APC Support Groups with active collaboration of KOYA 2015 For Audu/Faleke) to rescue our dear state from bad government of Wada/Awoniyi.”
