The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, on Friday, advised Muslim lawyers to always practise their profession in good faith.

Abubakar made this call at his palace when the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN), paid him a courtesy visit after its two -day National Conference in the state.

He said, “there are challenges facing us all, which we may need you to look into as Muslim lawyers, so that we can get the problem solved for our own good and the benefit of our country.

“So we need to know what role we can play together to make the country a much better place for all of us to live,” Abubakar said.

He thanked the association for organising the conference in the state and promised total commitment of the Sultanate to all their activities.

Speaking earlier, the National President MULAN, Alhaji Wazir Salako, said that the association was rubbing mind with stakeholders in the judiciary to find a way of minimising delay in the dispensation of justice.

“With the change we are expecting in the country now, we hope that we will achieve and attain success in quick justice delivery,” Salako said.

Salako expressed gratitude to the Sultanate, the State Government and the people of the state for their full support during the conference.
