GOtv Boxing Night: Fans to win decoders, other gifts

Some lucky fans coming to the fourth edition of the GOtv Boxing Night on 25 October are to go home with 50 GOtv decoders provided by the headline sponsors of the event which is organized by Flykite Productions.

Winners of the decoders will be determined through lucky dips to be held in between fights at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos, venue of the event. In addition, the first 100 fans to arrive the venue will win gifts like T-shirts, face caps, bags, diaries and ball pens.

According to the organisers, the gifts are a way of rewarding boxing fans for their devotion to the sport and their contributions to efforts at reviving it through the event.‎

GOtv Boxing Night is a six-fight professional event that seeks to give the cream of the sport regular outlet for their talents.

The biggest fight at the fourth edition will be between Nigeria’s Isaac Ekpo, a former Commonwealth champion, and Jules Kabore of Burkina Faso in a 10-round international super middleweight challenge duel.

Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi will take on Saheed “Happy Boy” Olayiwola in a light welterweight challenge duel.

The line-up also has Nurudeen “Prince” Fatai, national lightweight champion, taking on Otto “Joe Boy” Joseph in an eight-round challenge bout, while Stanley “Edo Boy” Eribo will face Isiaka “Easy Lion” Yusuf in a light welterweight challenge.

Other fights on the card will see Waidi “Skoro” Usman, West African featherweight champion, fighting Taofik “Taozon” Bisuga, while Jamiu “Naval Man” Olabode will fight Pelumi “Haggler” Sodubi in welterweight challenge.

The best boxer on the night will go home with N1 million and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.
