Oshofisan died on Saturday, 26 September, 2015 at his residence in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State with an unfulfilled dream.
It was gathered that he had actually composed and arranged some sizzling highlife songs that blend with the modern music trends of today.
Sources close to him disclosed that the unfulfilled dream, the yet to be released songs, was to demonstrate that he is still musically relevant.
The source also revealed that the back-up in the album are former Ogun State Governor, Aremo Segun Osoba and some other well meaning Nigerian highlife music enthusiasts.
Although death has robbed the late Osofisan the golden chance to bounce back, a memorial night held last Wednesday at Club 68, Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos, really brought back the memories of his exploits as a top highlife music vocalist with the defunct Roy Chicago band.
The late Tunde Oshofisan led the band successfully on behalf of Roy Chicago for six months in 1962 when Roy was jailed for manslaughter.
Veteran Evergreen music promoter, Femi Esho, described Oshofisan as the best Nigerian highlife voice.
Tunde Oshofisan, 77, hailed from Ibalufon town in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, and he is survived by wife, children and grand children.
