The Lagos State Government says it will appeal the ruling of the Lagos High Court which nullifies its use of Caretaker Committees to run the affairs of Local Governments in the state.
The Lagos High Court had declared the appointment of caretaker committees of Local Government councils in the state illegal and unconstitutional.
Reacting to the judgment, the State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem said the judgment of the court was faulty.
He said the state government would file a Stay of Execution and Appeal against the verdict immediately.
Kazeem expressed confidence that the State Government would prevail on Appeal.
He also urged residents to remain calm as there is no cause for alarm.
