During their own screening, the nominees for the Lagos State Audit Service Commission promised the House that efforts would be made to block all the loopholes in the state treasury.

They also promised to ensure that the Treasury Single Accounts, TSA, policy of the state government is successful.

Speaker Mudashiru Obasa directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Segun Abiru, to inform the state Governor about the confirmation of the nominees for the two commissions after the House voted in favour of their appointments.

Meanwhile, one of the nominees, Mojisola Shodipo, supported the call for capital punishment for corrupt office holders as well as those found guilty of serious infractions against the society.

“I am not against death penalty when it is found to be appropriate,” she said while being screened.
