Mother of Sylva’s running mate regains freedom

Police Public Relations Officer in Bayelsa, ASP Asinim Butswat, told newsmen in Yenagoa that the woman was released by her captors on Nov. 9 at about 10p.m.
“She was released at Ayama Waterside, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa; she is hale and hearty and has since been reunited with her family.
“Efforts have been intensified to arrest the abductors; investigation is ongoing”, he said.
NAN recalls that Igiri was kidnapped from her hometown, Foropa, Southern-Ijaw Local government Area, Bayelsa on Oct. 29.
