A leading cement company in Nigeria has suffered losses of N46 billion to attacks by militant Islamist sect, Boko Haram on its plant in north-east Nigeria.
Despite the attack, Ashaka Cement was determined to ensure it was “one of the only surviving institutions in the entire north-eastern Nigeria”, its chairman Suleiman Yahaya said after a meeting with the Emir of Gombe at the weekend.
