Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State will on Tuesday, 24 November present the 2016 Appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly in line with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.
In a release signed by the Clerk of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Muyiwa Adenopo, the presentation which is the first in the second term of the Amosun-led administration would take place at the Assembly chambers, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta by 10:00 am.
The budget presentation which is the fifth by the governor since assumption of office in 2011, remains one of the major responsibilities of the executive in the preparation of the yearly appropriation bill to be approved by the Legislature.
The State House of Assembly had within the last five years passed the yearly appropriation bill by the end of December.
This had preceded the fiscal year to give the executive the opportunity to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Ogun State.
Guests, including top government functionaries, traditional, religious and political leaders and other stakeholders are expected at the event.
