The Rivers State Government says the National Judicial Council, NJC, has recommended the extension of the appointment of the Acting Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Daisy Okocha from 1st December, 2015 to 15th January, 2016.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has accordingly approved the extension of the appointment of Justice Daisy Okocha.

In a press statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, the government also said the National Judicial Council has recommended the extension of the appointment of Honourable Justice Christy Gabriel-Nwankwo as the Acting President of Rivers State Customary Court of Appeal for an additional period of three months.

Following the recommendation of NJC, Wike has also approved the extension of the appointment of Gabriel-Nwankwo.
