The FCT Police Command had warned members of the public against disturbance of public peace in form of protests and demonstrations.

This was contained in a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, ASP Anjuguri Manzah on Thursday in Abuja.

The statement stated that the command had observed flagrant disregard of the law by individuals and groups that hold protests and demonstrations in the territory.

It said that these actions had created unwarranted tension and apprehension among law abiding citizens.

The statement assured that the command would be professional in discharging its constitutional assigned roles in line with international standards.
