LAHASCOM re-invents its service delivery in 2016

The Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission, LAHASCOM, will put in place a strategic plan to re-invent its service delivery for a robust and people-oriented legislature in the state, its chairman, Chief Wale Mogaji, has said.
Mogaji said this during the third annual retreat for members and senior staff of the commission.
Delivering his opening speech at the retreat with the theme: ‘The Role of a Virile Assembly Service Commission in the Legislative Arm of Government’, the chairman said the commission has been able to make tremendous achievements on issues relating to appointments, transfer, deployment and promotion of its staff within the short period of its establishment.
He said the objective of the retreat is to “further re-appraise our activities in the last one year with a view to consolidating on our areas of strength and also improve on our efforts to taking the commission to a greater height.”
The annual retreat is aimed at building capacity of the staff and members of the commission for effective delivery of services to meet its objectives and mission in relation to law making in Lagos State.
The Acting Secretary, National Assembly Service Commission, Mr. Olusanya Ajakaye, who also spoke at the retreat, said it was paramount for any virile Assembly Service Commission to enforce discipline in the legislative service.
He advised LAHASCOM to be fair and just to all and sundry in disciplinary matters.
Coordinator of the retreat, Mr. Taiwo Abayomi, who informed the attendees that the major function of the commission is to enhance human resources, urged its members and management staff to ensure that good leadership is guaranteed at all times in order to bring about enhanced performance.
The Clerk of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Olusegun Ganiu Abiru, also implored the staff to cultivate good attitude and advised them to be diligent in their work by giving their best performance at all times.
