It was a fun filled day as the Rivers State Deputy Governor Dr. (Mrs). Ipalibo Harry Banigo on Christmas day spent time with orphans in the state.

The Christmas party which held in the Deputy Governor’s Lodge had orphans from various homes, especially those of Azibaola Charity Foundation, Port Harcourt.

Dr. Banigo said the essence of the party was to show that Christmas is a time for love and sharing, especially for the needy.

“It is good to provide for less fortunate children in the society,” she emphasized.

She charged well-meaning individuals in society to always reach out to the less privilege so as to give them a sense of belonging.

According to a statement signed by her Press Secretary Paul Damgbor, Christmas is a time to remember the abused, abandoned and depressed in society and to bring joy to them.

The Deputy Governor later danced with the children and presented gift items to them.
