Media Officer of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Oluwatoyin Ibitoye has revealed that coaches of Eagles Team B have changed the pattern of training at the Abuja camp to ensure that the players maintain a high level of fitness ahead of their departure to South Africa 2 January, 2016.

The Eagles are currently in their first stage of camping ahead of Nigeria’s participation at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) Rwanda 2016.

The players were given a two-day break to celebrate Christmas with their families and to return to camp on Boxing Day.

Ibitoye said that since they returned by to camp, the coaches have lined up daily training for the players; in the morning and evening.

According to him, the coaches want the CHAN Eagles to purge out the yuletide celebration from their system and ensure that they gain full fitness before they fly to South Africa for the second stage of their camping.

Ibitoye also disclosed that the team will leave for South Africa on 2 January where the Chief Coach, Sunday Oliseh will join them.

He assured that there is constant communication between Oliseh and his assistants, who always brief him on the situation of things in camp.

He also revealed that the friendly matches against Ivory Coast and Angola, who are also CHAN teams, will go on as planned for the Eagles.
