The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) this morning led a protest to the Lagos State Government secretariat demanding the that the state government pay them N224,050,000 owed its members for the services rendered to the state.

The protesting workers protested to the gate of the Lagos State House of Assembly and blocked the gate with their cars to express their grievances.

As at the time of filing this report, a lawmaker was trying to appeal to the protesters, assuring them of the cooperation of the governor and state government.
