Amaechi did not manhandle, arrest our officer – Police

The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed the news story that went viral in the social media that Rt. Hon. Chibuike R. Amaechi, the minister of transportation, had on March 12 2016, along Port Harcourt-Omagwa road arrested and manhandled a policeman.
According to a statement by Ahmad Muhammad, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Command said “initially the Command decided to keep sealed lips but observed the untrue story continuously went viral and unabated.
“Consequently, the Command wish to state categorically that the story is untrue and that did not happened.
“Members of the public are hereby enjoined to discountenance and ignore the story in its entirety,” the statement urged.
