Aisha Buhari, Garba Shehu got forex on orders of CBN gov, says PDP

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed that the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari and a spokesperson to the president, Garba Shehu got foreign exchange at discounted prices on the orders of the Central bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele.

In a series of tweets, PDP outlined how much they got and what exchange rate. The first tweet read: “Garba Shehu got $800,000 forex at N185 from CBN on the instructions of Emefiele, CBN governor and sold at N350 on the same day.”

Using the hashtag, CorruptionAndBuhari, PDP tweeted again, “A Bureau De Change company linked with General Danbazzau got $6m forex from CBN at N185 and sold at N362. #CorruptionAndBuhari”

It then tweeted yet again alleging that Aisha Buhari got the biggest forex. “First Lady Aisha Buhari got $22m forex from CBN on the instructions of Emefiele and the company sold at N362 same day. #CorruptionAndBuhari

Lastly the PDP claimed that Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President Buhari also got $400,000 at N185 and sold for N340.
