Hector Bellerin challenges Usain Bolt to 100m race

Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has challenged ‘the fastest man on the planet’ Usain Bolt, to running race.
The Spanish international, 21, who is known for his blistering pace, replied to one of Puma Football’s tweets earlier on today, asking when he can race one of their new pieces of technology – the PUMA BeatBot.
The PUMA BeatBot is a new programmable, self-driving robot that inspires runners of all levels to push harder by giving them a real visual target to beat, instead of just a time on a stopwatch.
It looks like a brilliant, revolutionary idea from Puma and when asked by Bellerin about racing the BeatBot, Puma Football replied by saying ‘Next time you’re in Jamaica?’.

Bellerin then jokingly, went on to say “We need one more to make it interesting.. You know anyone?”, of course hinting at Puma’s biggest athlete, Usain Bolt, to challenge him. Funnily enough, Usain Bolt fancied his chances and replied saying “I know someone!!”.
In 2015, Bellerin set a time of 4.42 seconds over a distance of 40 metres, which is quicker than the Jamaican sprinter who when setting the current 100m world record, took 4.64 seconds to cover the first four/tenths of the track.
Apparently, Bellerin would have been a full two metres ahead of Bolt at the 40 metre mark had they lined up together when the record of 9.58 seconds was set in 2009.
