The Very Rev. Fr Patrick Alumuku, the Director of Communications, Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, has urged the Federal Government to use money recovered from top government officials wisely.

Alumuku made the call during a news conference on his 35th Priestly Anniversary and launch of his Autobiography (Candle Wax) on Monday in Abuja.

He advised the government to use the money recovered from the officials to better the lives of Nigerians.

“We have seen the corruption that people have been talking about and which has gone on for years.

“We have found ourselves in a situation whereby things are difficult as a result of the recklessness of the past governments.

“I urge the government to use the resources recovered from top officials judiciously.

He also urged Nigerians to be patient with the present administration, urging them to be cautious when reacting to the state of the nation.

“As Nigerians, we should not always go with the crowd; we need to give the government the benefit of the doubt.

“We should support the moves that are been made with the hope that things will change; I think that is a better way forward,” Alumuku said.
