Roland Garros: Serena Williams beat Putintseva to advance to semis

World number one, Serena Williams has beaten Yulia Putintseva 5-7 6-4 6-1 to advance to the semi-final of Roland Garros.
Williams, 34, was pushed hard by Kazakhstan’s Putintseva but she showed she still has the winning mentality as she fought back to progress.
The American is trying to win her 22nd Grand Slam title and equal Steffi Graf.
She will play unseeded Kiki Bertens or Swiss eighth seed Timea Bacsinszky in the last four on Friday.
