Idris Wadas petition against Gov. Yahaya Bello dismissed

The Governorship Election Petition for Kogi dismisses former Gov. Idris Wadas petition against the election of Gov. Yahaya Bello for lack of merit.

The governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello recorded this victory at the Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

The Justice Hamima Mohammed-led tribunal, on Tuesday, ruled that the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the November 21 and December 2015 governorship election ‎in the state, Idris Wada, lacked the right to question the nomination of Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress, thus upholding the preliminary of objection filed by Bello, his party and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
